Adhd intervention in the classroom and at home

Course description
The ADHD intervention in the classroom and at home course offers comprehensive training designed to help you understand and address Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder from a practical, hands-on perspective. In this 55-hour online course, you will learn about the neurobiological foundations of ADHD, how it is assessed and diagnosed, and specific strategies to improve attention, self-regulation and academic performance at school and at home.
The course is particularly aimed at teachers, school counsellors, educational psychologists, families and professionals who work with children and adolescents with ADHD. Because it is fully online, you can learn at your own pace and fit your studies around other commitments without compromising on quality.
Throughout the programme you will cover key topics such as the neuroanatomy and neurochemistry of ADHD, diagnostic criteria, managing the executive functions affected, and applying behavioural and teaching techniques both in the classroom and at home. There are also dedicated modules on family–school collaboration, medication and the analysis of practical cases, to ensure what you learn transfers effectively to real situations.
On completion, students will be equipped to implement multidisciplinary intervention plans that support the wellbeing and academic success of children and young people with ADHD. This free course is an excellent opportunity to build skills in a field of high demand and real social importance.
